About Us

Bight Size Rope Rescue brings together two things I know well: first responder training and 3D printing. I’m Brad Moore, a firefighter/paramedic in East Texas who believes good training starts with getting your hands on something.

I spent 12 years as a police officer, including three years as a Sergeant, before trading my duty belt for turnout gear. I left law enforcement, completed EMT school and the fire academy, and began my firefighting career in 2021.

Just before my two-year mark, I got promoted to Driver while also completing paramedic school. Balancing shift work, studying, and new responsibilities took plenty of determination - and probably more coffee than I should admit.

My commitment to the job extends to helping others learn it. I’m also an author of accredited continuing education through my wife's family business, Pedagogy Education, creating courses for fellow Texas EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters. My experience in law enforcement, fire, and EMS shapes my practical approach to teaching.

Off duty, life stays busy. My wife and I tend our farm in East Texas and run a separate 3D printing business that keeps our printers running around the clock. Between shifts, farm chores, and print plates, there’s usually something that needs feeding, fixing, or a fresh spool of filament.

I didn’t invent the idea of 3D-printed tabletop rescue models. I was inspired by others using 3D printing to make practical training tools more accessible. Seeing what was possible encouraged me to contribute my own designs and experience to that same goal: helping more people get their hands on tools they can learn with.

Bight Size brings that experience together through tabletop rope rescue training tools. My goal is to give departments, instructors, fire academies, and individual responders a practical way to set up systems, work through ideas, and keep the training conversation going.

We’re a family business with a personal connection to the people using what we make. I care about the details because these are tools I want to use myself, and share with others who care about getting better at their craft.
